STORYBOARD REVIEW ROUTE

Release Storyboards Safely

Verify the reviewer and transfer only the approved deck through a documented, time-bounded route.

01 / DECISION

Define the release decision

An authorized reviewer needs a restricted storyboard package for one client review but does not need unrelated productions, internal correspondence or permanent archive access.

◆
Decision rule

Verify the reviewer and transfer only the approved deck through a documented, time-bounded route.

02 / PROCEDURE

Run the control sequence

  1. 01Verify the release purpose, named reviewer and approved delivery channel.
  2. 02Create a minimized review packet instead of sharing the production workspace.
  3. 03Provide a controlled copy while keeping the approved master separately protected and versioned.
  4. 04Record manifest, sender, recipient, transfer time and acknowledgement without exposing scene details.
  5. 05Revoke temporary access and reconcile local copies after confirmed receipt.
03 / RECORD

Preserve enough evidence

Record the package identifier, production, review round, export date, version, manifest, responsible custodian, named reviewers, delivery route, recovery result, retention rule and next review date. Do not put credentials, recovery secrets or unnecessary scene details in the decision record.

◆
Minimum decision record

Keep the manifest, custodian, approved reviewer, key-separation decision, playback result and retention owner together without copying confidential production details into the record.

04 / BOUNDARY

Keep surrounding controls visible

Copy protection does not authorize a reviewer, establish client approval, prove receipt or control screenshots and copies created after access.

Storyboard distribution can create copies on laptops, removable media, email, review platforms and synchronized folders. Copy protection does not grant copyright, validate licensing, approve a reviewer or prevent every screenshot or downstream recording. Document the approved deck hash, protected location, named recipients, version label, review expiry, backup location and recovery result. Recheck these controls after software updates, platform migrations, permission changes or deck revisions; an earlier successful test does not prove the present package remains controlled or recoverable.

05 / QUESTIONS

Questions to ask

Should the package credential travel with the storyboard?

No. Send the package and credential through separate approved channels, and verify the named reviewer before release.

Does copy protection establish review rights?

No. It does not establish copyright, licensing, client approval, reviewer authority or permission to retain the deck.
